Oct. 7, 2021, the Issaquah high school’s girls’ JV soccer team defeated the Skyline JV soccer team 1-0. The game started at 5:30 p.m. and ended around 7 p.m. at Issaquah high school. Many parents and students from both schools came to the game to cheer on their team.

In the first half, the Issaquah JV soccer team scored one goal against the Skyline. When they scored the goal, the crowd was full of noise, cheering, and whistling but in the second half, they couldn’t score any. Although the Issaquah JV soccer team couldn’t score more goals, they played well in the last few minutes. Parents and students were very actively cheering during the game. There was a great atmosphere throughout the whole game.

After the game ended, the Issaquah girls’ soccer team celebrated. They gathered up to take the team photo and pack up their stuff. On the other hand, the girls varsity soccer team was ready to play the next game on the field that starts at 7:30 p.m.

The coach of the JV soccer team. Charles Glenn, said that their goal as the team would be going undefeated as a team. Glenn said that his players met his goal 100%. Glenn also said that the team was able to win because two players (Finley Kirchoff,10th grade, and Jadin Mason, also 10th grade, both sophomores in Issaquah high school) were playing well.

Kirchoff said that she is satisfied with her play and the result of the game, but she is not sure of her short term goals currently.

Mason said that she is satisfied with the end result because they beat the Skyline soccer team. She also said, “I would like to make varsity next year.”

Issaquah JV girls’ soccer team and Skyline JV girls soccer team both did a great job. The Issaquah soccer team’s hard work has paid off. They had great coaches, players, and a crowd who supported them to win. The Issaquah girls soccer team was leading from the first half, which I think affected the Skyline players mentally in a negative way. In the end, they both showed us a great game today, and hopefully, they are satisfied with the results without having any regrets.
