Anxiety

Anxiety is much more than just stress. One of three students, kids our age, are likely to have anxiety. Whether they have been diagnosed or not, this issue is too generalized and has grown out of control. Constant worrying, unwanted thoughts bombarding you from every side, shaking and sweaty palms, feeling like you are drowning. Everyone acts as if they have their lives together, as if they have it under control. The truth is, we really do not. In addition, without the support or help of family or the school, we never will. When we try to explain it to our parents, a lot of them will say we have no reason to feel this way, that it is just stress. However, this is a real problem. We must stop generalizing everything as plain stress or teenage angst.
