On Tuesday, June 4, at the Amazon Re:Mars conference, Robert Downey Jr. announced the launch of The Footprint Coalition. The organization, which will launch in April 2020, is dedicated to using robotics and nanotechnology to significantly clean up the planet.

At this time, there is no information on how The Footprint Coalition plans to reach their goal of solving our current environmental crisis, but the launch of the group will serve to at the very least get the ball rolling into more permanent solutions. The website is currently a form prompting visitors to sign up for newsletters. The email confirming the newsletter sign up is a note from Robert Downey Jr that says “We ALL have to work on our carbon footprints.” In the next 11 months the Footprint Coalition will be planned out and launched, using technology to pave a greener future.
