Zainab Alvi, Staff Writer
Zainab Alvi is a freshman student-athlete at Issaquah High School who aspires to be a lawyer and/or a soccer player when she grows up. Alvi is a hard worker and is excited to be a first-time journalist, using her voice to tell other people’s stories. She is constantly inspired by her little brother, parents, and teammates. Her athletic career is surrounded by soccer, in and outside of school, and has taught many valuable lessons, including being resilient, flexible, not to give up on your dream, and how hard work is the key to success.
Alvi also loves watching sports with her family and is a passionate fan of the Seattle Sounders FC soccer team. Fun Fact: Alvi was born in New York City and was 2 years old (still in NYC) when Hurricane Sandy hit New York (she was fine)! She is looking forward to learning and growing as a writer in journalism!
