Sarah Taimoory is a 9th-grade student at Issaquah High School in Washington, where she is known to be optimistic and fun. Sarah’s cultural background consists of being born into the city of Damascus in Syria to a large family from Baghdad, Iraq, where she lived for a while till her move to the city of düzce in Türkiye and then finally to the final big move to the United States in Issaquah, Washington, with her parents and older brother.

Her common aversions are due dates, slow internet, shrimp texture, and bugs. Sarah’s preferences are cats, all her family members, and true crime documents. Sarah’s not just interested in crime stories; she dreams of becoming a criminal psychologist herself soon, planning to understand why people do what they do, and helping make sense of it. Her favorite class is English class, where she gets to put all the words together of her thoughts and form them into one big writing and express herself through stories and essays. Outside of school, Sarah enjoys playing badminton, which is her favorite sport besides hockey, which she would rather watch instead. Her favorite hockey team is the New York Islanders, whom she would watch from time to time on her TV in her bedroom or in her living room.
