Kate Bevins loves writing and storytelling, and craves the feeling of finishing a piece that makes people both think and feel deeply. Outside of the classroom, Kate is a competitive cheerleader, daughter and sister who loves hanging out with friends, working out, and being outside. Some of Kate’s strengths are her extroversion and leadership which she utilizes through her job as gymnastics coach and volunteering as a mentor for cheerleaders with disabilities. This is her second year as a journalist, and she is excited to use her experience to gain more knowledge of the culture and community in Issaquah and around the world. She hopes to collaborate with the student body to create writing that provides clarity and sheds light on critical issues.
