From October 28 to November 1, 2024, IHS ASB is celebrating Halloween with its Fall fest spirit week. There will be a mix of creativity and fun activities for both students and staff in a celebration of school and typical Halloween festivities.
On Monday, October 28, it is “Sweater Weather” day, everyone can wear their coziest fall attire. It is a wonderful way to embrace the cold upcoming season while showing off school spirit.
Tuesday brings “Students Staff Swap” day, an opportunity for students and teachers to switch outfits. This day not only allows for fun outfits but leaves the door wide open for students and faculty to poke fun at each other.
Halfway through the week we have, “Anything but a Candy Bag” day, students can highlight their creativity by carrying anything other than traditional candy containers. Rumor has it that there will be candy distributed in the hallways, what an away to “trick-or-treat” at school. This is ASBs way of blending Halloween tradition with school spirit, engaging students in a challenge.
Thursday is “Halloween Spirit”, where everyone is encouraged to go all out with costumes, showing their favorite spooky things. This day promises to be vibrant and colorful, with prizes for the best costumes creating a friendly competitive spirit among students.
Finally, the week wraps up with “Spooky Sleepwear” day on Friday, allowing students to show off their comfiest and most festive pajamas. It is a good end to a week of fun, where students can relax and enjoy the festivities leading into Halloween weekend.
What makes this Spirit Week particularly special is the mix of activities planned for you. From themed games to morning chai. We encourage participation to create a festive atmosphere that enhances school spirit.
Spirit days are important for boosting school spirit and developing a sense of belonging and friendship among the students and staff body. They give a chance to show our personality and celebrate our shared memories as members of the IHS community. By participating in spirit days, we build our connections, create memories, and create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and involved. So, as we approach Halloween, it is important for everyone to participate in activities and show their school spirit. The effort put in by ASB to organize spirit week is huge, and it is up to every student to make the most of it. So, let us gear up for a week filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Show your spirit, Eagles!
