Justin Timberlake has reunited with his old band, NSYNC, an extremely popular band in the 1990s and 2000s, to create their first song together in over two decades for the new “Trolls Band Together” movie.
As some may know, Timberlake is cast as the male protagonist, Branch, in all the Trolls movies, therefore leading me to suspect that Branch will be singing their latest song in the new film, “Trolls Band Together,” which is being released on Nov. 17. Titled “Better Place,” the band’s recently developed song can be described as snappy, bouncy, and lively, with a buoyant and catchy tune. Definitely a dancing song.
About the band. NSYNC members include Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick. However, Timberlake left NSYNC in April of 2002. NSYNC’s band name is actually an acronym for the last letter of all five band members’ first names: Justin, Chris, Joey, Jason, and JC. But unfortunately, there is no plan for the band to be reunited past “Better Place.”
Justin Timberlake co-produced “Better Place” with Karl Johan Schuster, a well-experienced Swedish record producer and songwriter, otherwise known as Shellback. Shellback has worked alongside Taylor Swift, Max Martin, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, and many other popular artists.
NSYNC’s new release is an upbeat, optimistic pop song with a memorable tune and a get-up-and-dance vibe. It is absolutely perfect for a Trolls movie. I find the new song to be a good-vibes song, with a catchy chorus and a bouncy, uplifting beat. The song was published on Friday, Sept. 29 and as of Oct. 2, the official audio has reached over 248,000 views, but only 14,000 likes.
Although this positive song is captivating, I would guess most of today’s adolescents would find it a bit too childish. Fans of Timberlake’s previous song, “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” which was performed by the creator himself in the movie “Trolls,” will likely enjoy this bright
