Nancy’s Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ¾ cups of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar (IMPORTANT)
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • ¼ tablespoon of iodized salt

Cream together the butter, sugar and eggs. Add the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, to the butter mixture. After mixing together, form the dough into 1 inch balls and roll them in a combination of 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. Bake at 400 degrees fahrenheit, 2 inches apart, for 8 to 10 minutes.
